Description | Geneva Centre empowers individuals with autism and other related disorders, and their families, to fully participate in their communities. Aims to: Increase the community's acceptance of individuals with autism and other related disorders, as valuable members of their community; Maximize the involvement and participation in the community of individuals with autism and other related disorders, and their families; Provide leadership in assisting the community in accepting its responsibility to provide the special services and resources needed by individuals with autism and other related disorders, and their families. Provides: Intervention, support, information and consultation to families and service providers across Ontario (partially funded by Ministry of Community and Social Services); Consultation, training, professional development worldwide; Collaborative partnerships with families and other service providers, to ensure services meet individual needs; Leadership in the continuing development of a range of community-based services; Increased awareness of autism and other related disorders. Please note that outside of the Toronto area only the following services are offered. * resource services for service providers * in-service training, individual or group workshops * resource library * consultations.
