Newcomer Information Centre * provide newcomers with the transition into Canada * provides easy access to relevant and up-to-date settlement information services * services offered include information and referral to community and government programs and services to meet newcomer settlement needs regular orientation sessions on how to use the Newcomer Information Centre * information sessions for Internationally Trained Professionals by Regulatory Bodies * access to settlement and employment related resources * group sessions on settlement-related topics * education and training * credential assessment access to trade and professions employment and job search resources * Canadian labour market * language training * housing/ shelter * health services * legal issues and human rights * immigration and citizenship * social, community and recreation services * access to fax, photocopier, computers and Internet multilingual staff *free Commissioner of Oaths services to take affidavits/oaths, attest/certify true copies |
