Description | Community agency to help individuals and families in need and those experiencing social, educational, cultural and financial barriers, limiting their full participation and integration into society and the economy. This objective is realized by enabling clients, and specifically newcomers to Peel, acquire information, skills and connections that will help them become self-sufficient, independent and active participants in society and the economy. Current programs and services include: Information & Awareness Services to help newcomers understand life in Canada and how various systems operate, Employment Services to expand their job search capabilities and equip them with the necessary information, knowledge and skills they need to find meaningful employment, Community Connections to guide and support them as they form lasting social and professional connections Be the Change "Youth Leadership Program" to enhance youths community engagement, After School Jobs for Youth and Youth Pathways Program geared towards marginalized youth to help them gain employment and life skills training, Volunteer Management Program, and women and senior support groups.
