Description & Services
Description Provides assessment and short term counseling to those whose mental health problems can be assessed in an outpatient setting, and where the mental health problems necessitate the need for urgent treatment to prevent further decompensation by the client. A mental health team of professionals will provide psychiatric consultation and initial treatment, brief psychosocial assessment and counseling, medication monitoring and education, as well as group counseling to help the individual. Referral to other sources will be completed where necessary. The primary goal is to provide access to mental health services in a timely fashion and to return patients to their family physicians for continuing care.
Hours Mon-Fri 8am-4pm
Areas Served Etobicoke ; Peel Region - Brampton ; Other areas whose doctors have admitting privileges
Eligibility Ages: 16 year(s) and up
Application Referrals may be made by psychiatrists or family physicians. Please complete a Centralized Intake and Triage (CIT) referral form and fax it 
Clinicians screen the patient and provide a brief assessment and referral. The referral may be for a consultation, consultation and treatment, or telephone advice, depending on the patient’s needs
