Description | For urgent mental health emergency, immediate attention and an assessment by a Crisis Specialist is provided through the emergency department. Mental health refers to a persons well being * mental health can be just as serious as physical health Crisis Services can be accessed through the emergency department and provide urgent mental health assessments that may result in a transfer to inpatient services at a Schedule 1 facility or discharged home with referrals to community supports and resources The Dufferin Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) consists of a co-response team: an OPP officer and a Crisis Specialist from the hospital who offer mobile support for individuals experiencing a moderate to severe mental health or addiction crisis in the community |
