Description Two inpatient units for children 
 
The Child and Adolescent Unit (10-beds): provides care to children and adolescents who are experiencing acute mental health symptoms. Patients are assessed, treated and discharged, with the involvement of family, school and community supports. An on-site school program, tailored to the student’s current educational level is offered 
 
The Child and Adolescent Intensive Unit (4 beds): serves acutely ill children and adolescent who arrive through the Emergency Department. Admission to this unit is on an involuntary basis
