Description Caregiver Support Group and Friendly Visiting Program/Telephone Reassurance Program  
 
Caregiver Support Group offers: 
 
•Monthly sessions for caregivers and volunteers 
•Group sessions designed to educate, inform and empower caregivers 
•Participants learn more about health related issues and information on community programs that support and help the care giving process 
 
 
Friendly Visiting Program/Telephone Reassurance - Designed to maintain social and emotional interaction for socially isolated and cognitively impaired older adults in the comfort of their home, hospital, and long term care setting * screened and trained volunteers engage clients in meaningful activities providing respite and support to caregivers * clients in this program receive ongoing security reassurance checks which are simply a quick, regular telephone call confirming the clients health and well-being
