Description/Eligibility/Service Details

Description Hope Place provides its services to women suffering from alcohol and other drug addictions who are ready to make changes in their lives. 
Provides a comfortable 15 bed home-like setting in which women are helped to recover from the effects of addiction. Staff members at Hope Place are trained to offer specialized care and empathy which are essential to the recovery of alcohol and drug dependent women. Women in the 33-day residential program experience an intensive recovery process based on the philosophy of 12 Step Programs. 
 
The program addresses the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of addiction. During their stay, women learn how encouragement and support from others with similar experiences can help her heal and grow beyond the need or desire to use substances. 
 
Specific components of the program include: 
- Psycho-educational and process groups 
- Stress management 
- Relaxation and assertiveness training 
- Art expression 
- Alcohol and drug education 
 
Women awaiting treatment are offered encouragement and support as well as an orientation to the centre.

Prior to admission, applicants must be attending Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous on a regular basis
