| Description | The Brampton Santa Claus Parade begins at 5:00 pm on the third Saturday of November, the parade runs from the intersection of Main Street and Sproule Drive south on Main Street past Nanwood Drive. An organizing committee of about 20-30 people, along with hundreds of volunteers work with the 40 plus floats, 16 band entries and many other types of participants to put on the spectacular annual event. The modern day Brampton Board of Trade Santa Claus Parade was revived in 1986 after a 10-year hiatus. In 1995, the format changed to a night time Parade. Because of the change in format the attendance quadrupled to 60,000. Since then, it has grown to be what we believe is the largest nighttime Santa Claus Parade in Canada. |
