|Description & Services|
|Description||Fathers Resources International offers a variety of specialized resources and referrals for fathers who are single dads, separated dads or divorced dads who are seeking assistance with a Family Law matter in Ontario. Services are also aimed at non-custodial mothers and grandparents looking for solutions to custody, access and support (both emotional and financial) issues.
*Information and support groups are free; some specialized services are fee based. Call 416-861-0626 or visit web site for further information: http://www.Fathers-Resources.com
*Bi-weekly webcast meetings have been scheduled for 2019 on alternate Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 7:00pm. Check the website for exact dates and possible schedule changes.
The following services are available:
* Divorce management counseling; divorce coaching; individual counseling; peer counseling; support groups; weekly online webcasts; lawyer and other professional referrals.
* Free Support Group Meetings - Participants receive answers to family law related questions and helpful suggestions and insights from other group members. Women are always welcome - A weekly meeting is available in Toronto every Wednesday evening from 7pm-9pm.
*Support group meetings are a place to share and exchange personal experience and knowledge about the process of separation and divorce. Discussions are of a supportive nature to allow fathers to gain a clearer understanding of separation/divorce from the perspective of fathers who have had success in Mediation, during Negotiations and/or in Family Court.
* Free Information Resources - Information and links to important information provided by the Ontario and Federal Governments, plus 'News Section' of website contains latest news about divorced dads and issues both locally and internationally.
Note: Legal advice is not available at support group meetings. Legal advice can only be obtained from a lawyer; there is no lawyer in attendance at support group meetings. Meetings are chaired by a senior certified law clerk and Divorce Coach who is also a divorced father and an adult child of divorce.
