Description |
Abilities to Work is a not-for-profit organization focused on accessibility. We have been providing support to clients with disabilities to find opportunities in employment, education and training since 1995 within Peel, Halton, Dufferin and the rest of the Greater Toronto Area. We support persons with accessibility needs in finding their future by connecting them with opportunities that match their skills and experience while minimizing their barriers to employment. We also support employers through auditing their accessibility readiness and educating them on how to be more accessible. During the placement process, we support clients and employers by sharing knowledge and best practices on the accommodation process. The programs and services offered support clients at all points in their career journey from first job, to changing careers, or starting their own business. We also work with all education levels and disability-types. Our workshops provide information on a variety of topics including labour market information, job search strategies, or disability disclosure. Our goal is to get people to the right place at the right time where they can succeed. |
