Alternate Name Peel Coalition For Persons With Disabilities
Description The Coalition was formed in 1985 as a not-for-profit community-based partnership of persons with disabilities and community groups working collaboratively to affect positive changes for persons with disabilities. Today, the Coalition continues its vision for “independence and inclusion for persons with disabilities” through a number of community-based programs and services. 
*Employment Access is a one-stop employment service for all persons with disabilities who wish to access assistance in preparing for, obtaining and maintaining competitive employment 
*Work Readiness Program is an innovative program that includes a paid 8 week essential employment skills workshop followed by a 7 week work experience. 
*Connections Resource Fair is a showcase of products and services for persons with disabilities. In a trade show environment, visitors meet exhibitors and learn about the products, services and supports available to them in the community 
*Accessible Customer Service Workshops help organizations understand and comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
