Alternate Name Orangeville Show Chorus
Description Four part a cappella harmony (without instrumental accompaniment). Currently have 45+ women of all ages who come from a 50-mile radius of Orangeville. This chapter is part of an international organization of 30,000 members in 12 countries. Guests are always welcome. Classes are held each September to acquaint prospective members with the necessary information involved in chorus membership and to teach the barbershop art form. Chorus has produced 2 CDs, Won Most-Improved chorus several times and brought home the gold in 2008, 2009 and 2011 when the chorus placed first in the mid-size chorus category. Our two directors were made Master Directors by the chorus attaining over 600 points at contest in April, 2010 and Joan Borden, won the Novice Director award. Orangeville Chorus headed to Denver in October, 2012, to compete in the Sweet Adelines International Competition where they placed 4th.
