Description/Eligibility/Service Details

Description The Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) resolves disputes between residential landlords and tenants through mediation or adjudication. The LTB also provides information about its practices and procedures and the rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants under the Residential Tenancies Act.

Application Important: The LTB has modernized its operations. Most LTB applications and documents can be submitted online through the Tribunals Ontario Portal or by email. Users that have limited access to technology or limited ability to submit applications electronically, can submit them in-person, at more than 85 ServiceOntario locations, or submit to the LTB by mail or courier. The LTB does not accept applications or documents in-person at its head office or at any of its regional offices. Learn more.
