| Description | The Smart Commute workplace program helps inform employers and commuters in Brampton and Caledon about their commute options available to them, and encourages everyone to try more sustainable transportation options, such as: * carpooling * teleworking * transit * cycling * walking * flexible work hours. Smart Commute Brampton-Caledon is a partnership between the Region of Peel and Metrolinx. At Smart Commute Brampton-Caledon, we offer site assessments and surveys to our workplace employers to understand employee commute behaviour and recommend a variety of programs that would benefit employees in their commute to and from work. Programs offered include; Carpool Matching Software, Emergency Ride Home; Employee Work Arrangement Solution Programs (Flexible Work Hours, Compressed Work Week, Telework Programs), we'll conduct lunch and learn seminars and workshops, to help build awareness to employees on all modes of commute. For example, we will show you how easy it is to use Transit or Carpooling. It is our goal to make commuting to work easier and enjoyable while reducing environmental impacts of single occupancy vehicles on our roads. |
