Description Community Environment Alliance of Peel (CEA) is a registered, non-profit, community based organization dedicated to enhancing community health and environmental sustainability through education, empowerment and grassroots action.

Core Programs and Services:

Share-IT: Computers for Community - A National Award winning program that provides customized refurbished computers, peripherals and technical support to families and students in need (eligibility criteria applies). Individuals and families in the Region of Peel supported by Ontario Works in Peel and ODSP programs are eligible to apply.

Share IT Workplace Essential Skills Certification program offers eligible individuals Microsoft Digital Literacy Certification and reference to help with job readiness and keeping the job. Get certified using our self-learning approach and the computer lab with the support of a knowledgeable and experienced mentor. We offer limited number of practicum spots to those who want to practice their skills in ‘real workplace environment’ (eligibility applies). The course aides intermediate levelled students to refresh and improve their computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint to get them job ready. Please note that this program is NOT FOR BEGINNERS.

Community Bike Centre (CBC) - Committed to make cycling a safe, healthy and sustainable choice for all. The Community Bike Centre offers various programs and services for all age groups. It aims to reduce barriers to cycling that individuals may face to choose cycling for health, recreation or transportation mobility. Call or visit our website to learn more.

Act-Heal - Active Healthy Aging: Provides weekly programs to improve physical, mental, emotional and cognitive health of seniors and older adults. Food 360% (ZFW) - Launched in 2016, the program aims to build a safe, healthy and sustainable Peel by reducing our food waste foot print and repurposing food in innovative ways that directly benefit the health and wellness of members in our community.
