Employment supports - provides help preparing for, finding and keeping a job * on-the-job training * interpreter or intervenor services * transportation assistance * assistive devices and training to use them and other services * Business start up - provides help developing and implementing a business plan * financial and budget training * marketing * mentoring * financial help towards the costs of business tools, equipment and supplies, licenses and certification * help getting work-related disability supports (such as assistive devices and technical equipment, interpreter, intervenor, reader and notetaker services) |

Eligibility | Ages: 16 year(s) and up
To be eligible for Income Support you must be 18 years of age or older * live in Ontario * be in financial need *be found to be a "person with a disability" as defined under the Ontario Disability Support Program Act
To be eligible for Employment Supports, you must be 16yrs of age or older * be a resident of Ontario * be able to work in Canada *have a disability that is expected to last a year or more, and * have a disability that makes it hard for you to find or keep a job If you are a student and you wish to work part-time while you are going to school, you may be eligible for Employment Supports You do not have to be receiving financial assistance from the Ontario Disability Support Program to be eligible for Employment Supports * clients with a taxable income over $51,000 need to contribute toward the cost of their supports You are not eligible for Employment Supports if you are eligible for or receiving disability or rehabilitation benefits from other public or private sources, or * receiving financial assistance from Ontario Works (Ontario Works provides employment assistance) |
