Description/Eligibility/Service Details
DescriptionThe Canadian Red Cross Meals On Wheels program delivers affordable, nutritious and delicious meals to members of the community who are unable to prepare their own food. There are no age requirements. Seniors, chronically ill, people recovering from surgery and physically and mentally disabled individuals are just some of the people who have benefited from this program. Meals On Wheels helps people continue living independently while maintaining a healthy diet. We deliver hot or frozen meals five days a week (arrangements for the weekend can be made) and offer meals designed for special diets. Diabetic, Gluten Free and Puree meals are just some examples of the diet types offered. Meals are delivered by volunteers. All volunteers must pass a screening and training process.

We now offer HALAL certified meals and have extended our Vegetarian options.
