Description	Programs and Services offered:    Dixon Employment Resource Centre - Job Search and Employment Services  A multi-purpose resource center intended for use by clients who need assistance in accessing the labor market. Provide 12 computers equipped with high speed internet, several phone lines, faxes, photo copiers and printers. Clients can take part in daily employment related workshops, can obtain one-on-one assistance with customized resumes and job search research techniques, or can simply use the internet and other facilities to engage in job search.    Informed Parents Program - A proactive program for immigrants that is intended to provide on-going training and information sessions about systemic barriers and teach parents how to effectively access the various systems that they and their children interact with, such as schools, justice system, police and landlords, and essential services available to them. Workshops and seminars provided.    Home Work Club - Provides free assistance to students residing around the Dixon/Kipling corridor. The program runs during the school year, beginning in September and ending in June, accommodates 25 students of mixed gender between the ages of 8 years and 12 years and special priority is given to students from families with low income. The Home work program places special emphasis on assistance in the area of Math, Science and Reading. The Home work Club operates 3 evenings a week, from 5.00 pm-7.00 pm.    Ontario Works - Work Assistance Program - A program designed for welfare recipients, who do not possess enough experience to enter the work force. Through volunteerism, participants will gain self-esteem and experience. Seminars are held in resume writing, interviewing, basic computer training.    Learning Bond and Canada Education Savings Grant - Provides information sessions, one-on-one counselling to parents to educate them on how to take advantage of free money offered by the federal government towards the program.
