DescriptionThe Canadian Diabetes Association is an independently governed, charitable organization focused on the needs of people affected by diabetes. With over 150 branches across the country, it is a leading supporter of diabetes research, education and advocacy. 
 
* Aims to promote the health of Canadians through research, education, service and advocacy 
* Organizes summer camps in every province in Canada, designed to give young people (with Type 1 diabetes) the opportunity to experience camp as other children do 
* Organizes educational and fundraising events for research 
* Offers a program called Clothesline which accepts donations of items such as: used clothing, toys, jewelry; dishes, furniture. Will pick up items, call 1-800-505-5525
