Description The Fragile X Research Foundation of Canada is a non-profit organization which is dedicated to funding biomedical research for improved treatment and, ultimately, a cure for Fragile X. Fragile X is not only the leading inherited cause of mental impairment, it is also one of the most common single-gene diseases in humans, affecting approximately 1 in 3000 people worldwide.
