Description & Services

Description Family and Community Services provides assistance to those in need including food, clothing, counselling, community referrals, advocacy and financial management. 
•Christmas Kettle Campaign - annual six week fundraising campaign (mid-Nov to Christmas). Christmas Kettle volunteers greatly appreciated.  
•Trustee Program - supervision is provided to assist individuals with their household finances and budgeting. Referrals accepted from agencies/community workers 
•Toys for Tots, a partnership with Peel Regional Police - toys are distributed to families identified as requiring assistance 
•Back Pack Program - an annual back to school program supporting children who cannot afford new school supplies. Those who desire to contribute to this program are encouraged to drop off new back packs filled with school supplies 
•Camping Ministry - camping opportunities at Salvation Army camps for children identified as requiring sponsorship  
•Emergency Disaster Services - assistance in time of misfortune and tragedy
