Description Provides a non-medical, brief intervention for people who are intoxicated, in withdrawal, or in a crisis related to alcohol, drugs, and gambling  
 
Staff provide: 
•support and monitoring through withdrawal 
•assessment, education, counselling, discharge planning and referral information 
•clients may attend various 12 STEP meetings held at the centre 
•Nurse Practitioner consults available 
•Addiction counselling for youth 16-24 years

Application Physician referral encouraged though not required
