Description | Public health nurse address health- and non-health-related questions and provide help in accessing public health programs and services. Some common topics include: •Child and adult vaccinations and appointment booking •Feeding your baby including breastfeeding and formula feeding •Pregnancy and parenting •Child development •COVID-19 including vaccine appointments •School, child care and camp questions •Inspections and infection control complaints •International and Canadian travel guidelines •Infectious diseases •Testing and treatment for STIs •Dental care for youth and seniors Other services include: •investigation of air quality concerns in public buildings, schools or rented dwellings •food premises inspection •monitoring the quality of drinking and recreational water and testing private well water •public health standards enforcement |
