Description Help available for children, youth, women and men who have been sexually assaulted  
Medical and Crisis Support * offered at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Sunrise Centre (a special suite designed to ensure privacy) * important to receive medical attention as soon as possible, preferably within 72 hours (adult) or 24 hours (child) of the assault * specially trained Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners are on-call to help individuals and a social worker is available for follow-up support * Centre has a non-clinical treatment room, waiting room and children's play area and a private interview room 
Counselling for Children and Youth * help provided at Dufferin Child and Family Services through the Sexual Assault Treatment Program for children under the years of 18 * family is involved from the original assessment and treatment plan through to on-going counselling * parents receive support in helping their children 
Counselling for Adults & Adult Survivors of Childhood Assault * offered through Family Transition Place provides 24 hour crisis/info, emotional and practical support as well as individual and group counselling and workshops to female sexual assault survivors age 16 and older * men receive short term support and referral to male focused counselling * survivors are supported in understanding options and choices regarding medical treatment, contact with police and legal rights

Dufferin Child and Family Services: Mon, Thu, Fri 8:30am-5:00pm * Tue, Wed 8:30am-8:30pm * Walk-in counselling Tue 1pm–7pm 
Family Transition Place: Daily 24 hours
