Description Not-for-profit, voluntary agency that serves high-need women and their family members  
This program offers the following services:  
• Short Term Supportive Counselling:  
The Centre’s staff provides culturally and linguistically appropriate support to women when they encounter difficulties in moving ahead by providing them with critical pieces of information that enables them to have the confidence in making the right decisions and to overcome personal obstacles and crisis  
• Employment and Career Counselling:  
Provides assistance to immigrant, racialized and refugee women determine their career and employment needs and goals. Linkages are made with other employment related services in the community, as well as English language classes, training, apprenticeship and volunteer opportunities. With the right connections and supports, women can navigate the system more effectively  
• Employment Support Groups for Women: 
Provides employment support groups for women in their own language and helps them to identify strengths and address gaps they face when seeking to enter or re-enter the workforce 
• Parenting and Family Supportive Counselling: 
Provides to newcomer, refugees and singe parent families supportive counselling in their own language to help to cope with the many challenges and rewards of raising healthy children. 
• Nobody's Perfect Parenting Groups: 
Offer parenting groups for parents/caregivers with children from birth to six years of age. In the groups participants learn about child development, effective discipline methods, information on Canadian institutions and services. Participants gets supports for positive parenting and builds skills with peers and learn effective tools to address the challenges and lack of confidence when parenting 
• Newcomer Settlement Services: 
Offers assistance to newcomers, refugees and immigrants to connect to resources and services in the community because limited knowledge of the Canadian services delivery system, and/or a limited ability to speak English or French. Assistance is provided in finding suitable housing, learning English, registering their children in school, obtaining equivalence of official education documents, job search and employment. Information and Access counselling is provides with regards to services such as health, housing, employment; training and education, legal aid, finances, social services and immigration issues.
