Alternate Name Ethno - Cultural Seniors Program
Description A broad range of social recreational programs for older adults 55+ offered in person, via telephone (SCWW) and on-line via Zoom platforms.  
 
List of Programs: 
 
Fun Fitness: Monday 9:30am-10:30pm - designed with a gentler approach to fun Cardio movements...and creative Stretching/Conditioning throughout to popular music of the past. 
Somali Seniors Social Mondays, 3 pm - 4 pm. Featuring a range of Health Education / Special Interest topics weekly. 
 
ESL: Tuesdays, 11 am - 12 noon. 
Strength and Tone: Tuesday 11:30am-12:30pm - increases energy, improves posture, and help protect from injuries 
Spanish Seniors Social: Tuesday 2pm-3pm & Thursdays 12 noon - 1 pm - a fun and interactive social program focused on the celebration of Spanish culture and heritage. 
Chair Yoga: Tuesday 10:30am-11:30am - for persons with reduced mobility/disability. The benefits of Chair Yoga include; increased flexibility, improved circulation, strength, sleep, stress, and pain management. 
 
Chair Dance: "International Rhythms - Women's Fitness: Wednesday 12noon-1pm - a gentle cardiovascular and core stability chair dance fitness class that combines moves and rhythms from a range of Caribbean, Latin, Reggae and Indian (Bollywood) disciplines 
Somali Seniors Social, ESL and Womens Fitness: Wednesdays 10 am - 1:00pm 
Men's Social: 2nd Wednesday of the month 1pm-2pm - join for an informal social time, interesting conversation, guest speakers and fun. 
Men's Fitness QiGong: 1st and last Wednesday of the month 1 pm - 2 pm. 
Rakuten Kobo e-Book Club: 3rd Wednesday of the month 1pm-2pm - makes reading and digital literacy available to everyone - a traditional book club, only digital. Training and *Kobo devices are provided - * subject to availability 
 
Chair Aerobics: Thursday 9:30am-10:30am - a lively aerobic seated chair class to get the heart rate pumping followed by "Tribal" beat weight training and ending with a cool down stretch. 
Digital Literacy Club: Thursdays 1 pm - 2 pm.  
 
Storytelling: Fridays 9 am - 10am. 
Seniors Adapted Movement Program (SAMP): Friday 10am-10:30am - a movement program for participants with varying degrees of mobility 
Coffee Chat: Friday 11am-12noon - join for an informal social time, interesting conversation, guest speakers and fun
Hours Administration: Mon-Fri 9m-5pm
