Description | Multi-service agency focused on the needs of immigrants, newcomers, refugees and other community members through direct service provision * agency helps to reduce isolation, minimize barriers, strengthen community and thus work towards community integration Language Instruction For Newcomers To Canada (LINC) - Provides basic language training in one of the Canada's official languages to adults immigrants after their arrival in Canada so that they may acquire the necessary language skills to integrate into Canadian society •English classes offered including literacy and LINC levels 1-7 at the Brampton and Mississauga locations •childcare for eligible participants available at both locations Violence Against Women Program - Holistic approach towards family violence * includes crisis counselling, creative safety plan, emotional support, information and referral * group services or one-on-one if required Newcomer Settlement Program - Intake * assessment * form filling * referrals * support groups * supportive counselling * life skills workshops and seminars on topics that will help access services, integration Employment Support - A program to assist the unemployed or under-employed with job search support * labour market information * job referral * work trials or placements * seminars on employment issues * training information * support groups, monthly meetings for women and older adults to dialogue, solving their problems through peer support, networking, information sharing and time for themselves * group meetings increases awareness on services, resources available for women and empower them to deal with day-to-day realities, develop higher self-esteem, confidence and language skills for the labour market |

Eligibility | All ages except for the LINC Program. Minimum age for the LINC Program is 18 years. Children served in the Care for Newcomer Children program are from 6 months to 6+ years of age. |
