Description | Group Services offer a broad range of groups and workshops related to child and family functioning in order to help children and youth meet developmental expectations at home, in school and in the community.(education and treatment – currently online due to COVID-19, visit WhereToStart.ca to learn more and register). - help children and parents develop strategies for coping with the concerns in their lives - provide opportunities for parents and/or children to interact and learn from each other - support youth in developing social and life skills - provide information for parents on specific issues. Group Services are free of charge. A group typically runs for 6-12 weeks and one-session parenting workshops are offered during July and August. Peel Children's Centre staff facilitate the groups and childcare is available for most groups. Note: some treatment groups require an assessment to determine appropriateness for the specific group. A brochure with the current schedule of groups or workshops can be downloaded from www.peelcc.org/services/family-group-services, or will be mailed upon request.
