Description/Eligibility/Service Details

Description The Partner Assault Response (PAR) program is a Domestic Violence Court initiative. The PAR program delivers a specialized community-based group education/counselling  to clients who have been mandated by the court to attend the program in response to a criminal charge involving domestic violence.  
 
Program Details 
 
Groups run for 12 sessions and are 90 minutes in duration. 
Groups are co-facilitated by an experienced team of facilitators.
Dates Sessions run weekly. 
Sessions are run during the week in the evenings. 
Weekend sessions are run on Saturday mornings and in the afternoon.

Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) and up 
 
Referrals to the program are received through the criminal court system, and Probation and Parole. Men are offered group services in Peel and Dufferin. Women are offered individual services in Dufferin. No client with pre-adjudicated criminal offenses related to domestic violence can be enrolled in the program
Application Most clients are referred: 
From Probation as a condition of sentencing 
From the local Crown Attorney's Office as a condition of bail or a Section 810 Peace Bond 
Some clients are referred by a child welfare worker under the authority of the CFSA 
Some clients contact us without a referral from another professional 
Others are recommended by family doctors, spiritual advisers, and concerned family or friends
Fees Program - Sliding Scale; $25 orientation fee; $25/session (16 sessions) ; There is a standard fee for service. Subsidies are available for people with financial constraints and are determined based on eligibility . Supporting documentation is required. * Fee assistance available.
