Description Helps families in Peel who are at risk or experiencing Postpartum Mood Disorder (PMD) to access services and supports * PMD can include symptoms of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, bi-polar disorder or postpartum psychosis * PMD can develop during pregnancy or in the first year after having a baby 
 
Services include:  
raising awareness of PMD in the community 
decreasing stigma often experienced by families living with PMD 
educating service providers so that they can help support families 
providing information and resources about how partners, family and friends can support women with PMD 
enhancing services and accessibility for Peel Region’s diverse community  
 
Postpartum Mood Disorder Peer Support Groups are offered through local OEYCs (Ontario Early Years Centres) 
 
Peel Postpartum Family Support Line - The line is answered by trained staff and volunteers - fellow mothers who provide caring, emotional support to women and their families during the prenatal and postpartum period
