Description/Eligibility/Service Details

Description Brampton Caledon Community Living (BCCL) supports people with a developmental disability, in partnership with their families and the community, to lead enriched and meaningful lives. Some of the services are: 
 
FAMILY SUPPORTS and RESPITE 
Provides information, makes referrals for individuals and families to other community programs, and assists families to access social services programs. Assistance is provided to parents to help them understand special education issues and to provide support and information. Through Respite, families receive funding which can be used to purchase supports. 
 
EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION SERVICES  
Preschool-aged children with a developmental disability are supported in their community child care centres. When the child is ready to enter the school system, the Resource Consultant assists with the transition. 
 
CONNECTIONS 
Designed to address the needs of recent graduates of the school system. This program, offered in both Brampton and Caledon, helps young adults with a developmental disability make a successful transition from school to a wide range of community participation supports activities and work. Fee attached to this initiative. 
 
Please note that anyone over 18 years of age must be deemed eligible for services from BCCL by Developmental Services Ontario (DSO).
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm 
Community Living Supports (Residential): Mon-Sun 24 hours
