Description UNICEF works for and with children in 156 countries and territories, advocating for children's rights, ensuring their basic needs are met and enabling them to reach their full potential. 
UNICEF's programming priorities include immunization, girls' education, HIV and AIDS, child protection and early childhood development.  
UNICEF is also present whenever emergencies strike, working to ensure the well-being and development of children. 
 
Operates various programs including sales of UNICEF greeting cards, the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign, the Education for Development program and public education.
