Description/Eligibility/Service Details

Description Volunteer, charity, community-based organization offers:  
* support groups for parents of bright and gifted children  
* advocates for appropriate programs and services for gifted children in the schools  
* provincial body provides liaison with the Ontario Ministry of Education  
* provides bi-monthly adult meetings for parents and educators. 
* Peel Chapter has representation on the Special Education Advisory Committees (SEAC) of both local school boards in Peel region 
* we can help with IPRC meetings, SEAB Appeals and IEPs

Eligibility Membership open to parents, educators, and all those interested in the welfare of bright and gifted children (not restricted to parents of bright or gifted children)
Application To become a member go to http://www.abcontario.ca/get-involved/membership
Fees Membership - $40 annually. ; To become a member of ABC, Peel chapter please make a minimum $40.00 donation through CanadaHelps at https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/3644 ,select Peel Chapter as the fund. The first $20.00 from each donation goes to the Provincial organization (ABC Ontario), the balance of your donation will go to your local chapter. To insure ABC Peel is promptly informed of your membership please forward a copy of your CanadaHelps receipt to this email address.
