Description/Eligibility/Service Details

Description In home respite services through Caregiver Recharge Program (905-281-4443) provided in Mississauga to allow caregivers an opportunity to be relieved of their duties for a specified period of time. 
Also provide attendant care services at two supportive housing programs for persons with disabilities in Mississauga.
Areas Served Haldimand County ; Halton Region ; Hamilton (City of) ; Mississauga ; Paris ; Peel Region
Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) and up 
 
Caregivers and clients for respite must both have Ontario health card. Client eligibility determined based on functional assessment. Caregiver eligibility based on reported stress/distress of caregiving role. 
Clients residing in Aghabi Place and Lakeside Court supportive housing would have a long-term physical disability or traumatic brain injury, but would be able to direct their services. 
Individuals would be accepted by the landlord for tenancy at Aghabi Place or Lakeside Court, Mississauga and be responsible for their rent and living expenses.

Apartment rent at Aghabi Place and Lakeside Project may be based on geared-to-income basis.
