| Description | Centre for Education & Training offers employment, settlement and language services. Our programs include: Language Assessment Centres - LAC centres offer free English and French language assessments and referrals to classes for eligible immigrants seeking language training in Peel, Halton, Dufferin, York, Simcoe and Durham. LINC Home Study Program - Free English language training via distance education for eligible immigrants who cannot attend LINC classes in person. Newcomer Information Centres - NIC centres provide newcomers with easy access to relevant and up-to-date settlement services including information, referral to community and government programs and Commissioner of Oaths services. NIC services can be also accessed online at www.niconline.ca Employment Services - ES services assist job seekers with securing sustainable employment. We provide resources and information, job search workshops, and employment counselling, as well as job matching, placement, and retention services. We provide assistance and coaching with resumes, cover letters, connecting with employers, preparing for interviews and much more. Translation and Interpreter - translation and interpretation services into several languages (over 45) to various companies, agencies and individuals |
