Description The Region of Peel's Legislative Services Department delivers quality professional advice and services to support Peel Region’s success and enable the public to access their Regional government. Our team provides expert legal advice, ensures procurement of goods and services at the best value, supports accessible and effective governance, and delivers cost-effective and sustainable real property services. 
 
The Clerk's division carries out varied duties as legislated by the provincial government and Regional Council. They respond to requests for information or action from the public, agencies and other levels of government. The Regional Clerk is responsible for keeping and administering all municipal documents, including copies of by-laws, reports and other documents and records. 
 
Legislative Services, through the Clerk's Office, acts as the official secretary to Regional Council and its committees and provides legislative support in this area. Duties include preparation of agendas, recording and communicating Council proceedings, and special assessment projects.
