Youth Advisory Committee - Student Representative [ More info  ]   
Volunteer MBC's Youth Advisory Committee has been developed to encourage and increase youth volunteerism and to foster a life-long commitment to volunteering. The members of the Committee create a connection between the volunteer centre (Volunteer MBC) and youth in the Region of Peel. The Emergency Management Office is looking for individuals who will bring to life Buzz the Preparedness Bee. Buzz appears primarily during Emergency Preparedness Week, May 6 to 12, 2012. There is the potential of additional appearances at other City of Mississauga events during the year.  
 
To fit into the costume, individuals must be no taller than 1.62m (5’ 8”) and physically fit.  
 
As volunteers will be asked to work mornings, afternoons, early evenings, and weekends during Emergency Preparedness Week (and/or the week before), multiple candidates are sought. (Please specify when you would be available).
