When assigned to a client/family duties "May" include:
- Providing support and companionship to client and/or family
- Providing transportation to medical treatment appointments or shopping errands
- Providing respite for caregiver
- Assisting client with activities of daily living
- Providing care/comfort measures such as complementary therapies - Reiki, TT
- Follow all visiting protocol as per policies and procedures
- If providing transportation, to carry a minimum of $1 million third party liability
- Maintain monthly contact with the Hospice office
- Maintain confidentiality
- Ask for assistance if help or support or additional information is required
- Comply with the fragrance-free and smoke-free environment policy
- Submit monthly reports recording all contacts and visits with client/family, observations, mileage, etc.

The Donor Development Committee of the Canadian Mental Health Association/Peel Branch is made up of volunteers from the professional advisory community (Lawyers, Investment Advisors, Insurance Professionals, Accountants, Business Students and other financial advisors etc). The committee comprises of four to eight members consisting of 4-5 professional volunteers and 2-3 staff.
The committee’s role is to actively raise awareness of C.M.H.A./Peel and their programs to prospective donors and advisors, actively develop the donor base for giving, recommend policies and guidelines regarding the acceptance of planned gifts and other gifts and actively encourage donations to C.M.H.A./Peel.
The Committee meets every 2 months and ultimately reports to the C.E.O. of C.M.H.A./Peel.

The Conversation Club is a mentoring program for newcomer youth funded by Citizen and Immigration Canada and offered in partnership with the Peel District School Board, Centre for Education and Training and Meadowvale Library, City of Mississauga and the Mississauga Mandarin Association. This after school program connects newcomer youth (12-18) with volunteer mentors (16-24). Newcomer youth mentees meet with their volunteer mentors in a group setting for one hour each week to practice English conversation and presentation skills, address homework concerns and learn about Canada.
