Opportunity Details
Duties of RoleTo educate the public about vision loss, promote vision health, and enhance awareness of CNIB and our services. 
- Speak on behalf of CNIB to community groups, corporations, schools, seniors’ centres, vision health professionals, etc. 
- Use your multi-lingual language skills in speaking with ethno-cultural community groups OR share your personal experience with vision loss and CNIB 
- Set up and staff displays at community information forums with other volunteers and/or staff 
- Demonstrate technical aids with other volunteers and/or staff 
- Submit a report within one week after each presentation  
- Attend ongoing training as requested

Skills/Experience- A belief in the mission, vision and values of CNIB and a genuine interest in the organization 
- A passion for making a difference in vision health 
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills 
- Experience and/or willingness to be trained in public speaking 
- Ability to work with minimal supervision 
- Reliable and punctual 
- Fluent English language skills, other languages are an asset 
- Travel (within your community) required
Length of CommitmentMedium Term (between 3 to 6 months) - 6 month committment requested
