| Description | Long-term care facility * 200-beds (100 beds for Chinese Canadians, 25 beds for Filipino Canadians and 75 beds for other cultural groups) * 4 floors, 2 wings per floor with 25 beds per wing * 112 basic (ward) beds * 88 private beds * additional services include: physiotherapy and occupational therapy * on site access to specialists such as Geriatrician, Dietitian, Dentistry, Podiatry, Optometry * special programs include palliative care, foot care, G-feed care, ostomy care, dementia care, restorative care * Yee Hong is available to the general public for such activities as: Tai Chi * Line Dancing * Chinese Knotting * Table Tennis * Ornament Beading * Chinese Brush Painting * Photography Club * Chinese Calligraphy * Portable Keyboarding, etc. Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care is a non-profit, charitable organization that provides a comprehensive range of culturally appropriate services to seniors and others * four nursing homes (in Scarborough, Markham and Mississauga) * All four centres offer long term care and community-based services while the two centres in Scarborough offer seniors housing as well. | |||
