| Description | Provides emergency and second stage housing to youth ages 16-24, by promoting growth that encourages responsible living and clear decision-making. This safe and non-judgmental atmosphere assists the resident in reaching their full potential and in making the transition to independent living. There is a 20 bed capacity at CHOICES Youth Shelter and a 7 bed capacity at NEXT CHOICE Second Stage Housing Program. All youth have access to individual and group counseling for personal issues, and anger management. All youth have access to the day programs provided at the shelter as well. Youth at the shelter will have access to information on youth employment services, showers, phones for local calls, laundry facilities and meals. Soap and toothbrushes are provided. Residents are expected to help out with meal preparation and housekeeping and to contribute to building a safe, respectful environment by respecting the house rules. Volunteer opportunities exist. | |||
| Hours | Youth are welcome at the house between 5 pm - 8:30 am under normal shelter conditions. Day Programs run from 4 to 5 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday Office Hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm | |||
