| Description | Malton Village is one of five Long Term Care Centres owned and operated by the Region of Peel. The four other Regional Long Term Care Centres are The Davis Centre in Bolton, Sheridan Villa in Mississauga, Peel Manor and Tall Pines in Brampton. All operate in accordance and compliance with the current legislation of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Malton Village has 160 beds divided among six resident home areas; each area having its own dining and recreational space, a den and an outside terrace that overlooks two landscaped and fully accessible courtyards. Daily activities in the surrounding community may include: Restaurant outings and shopping trips Regular visits from invited guests, school groups and other specialized service providers At Malton Village, residents receive personalized care and are offered stimulating programs. Services provided include: 24-hour Nursing Care Medical Care Dining and Nutrition Services Rehabilitation Services Social Work Spiritual Care Recreational and Therapeutic Programming Housekeeping Services Laundry Services Optional services include: Foot Care Dental Care Audiology and Optometry Services Hairdressing and Barber Services Offers multi-faith spiritual services, ethnic meals, and social work services to assist residents and families who are coping with the transition to a new environment. Uses the Cultural Interpretive Service in Peel and Language Line Services to enhance communication with residents and families where needed. Serves residents from many ethno-specific communities including South Asian, Hispanic, Filipino, Portuguese, Italian, German and Ukrainian. Malton Village offers complimentary therapies to enhance residents' skills, including music and horticultural programs, aromatherapy, pet therapy and a therapeutic touch program. Also offers an Adult Day Service (ADS) Participants from the community enjoy physically and mentally stimulating activities in a supervised setting. Enables participants to interact in a variety of social, recreational and therapeutic programs designed to satisfy the many interests of older adults, such as gardening, spiritual services and community outings. Caregivers can run errands or take a break knowing that their family member is in a healthy, safe environment and will receive a nutritious meal and snacks.
