| Description | The Ontario Long Term Care Association (OLTCA) is the largest long term care providers' organization in Ontario and the only organization that represents all types of long term care providers - not-for-profit, charitable, municipal and private. OLTCA operates under the direction of a volunteer Board of Directors, elected from the membership, and is managed by a CEO and a team of professional staff. The Association has four core functions: Advocacy, Communications, Education and Member Services. OLTCA works to ensure that members' issues, concerns and solutions are represented and heard at tables where decisions are made that affect the sustainability, growth and development of the long term care sector. OLTCA also fosters long term care leadership through membership growth, development and support. OLTCA represents the operators of more than 430 charitable, not-for-profit, private and municipal long-term care homes. OLTCA homes provide care, accommodation and services to almost 50,000 seniors annually and employ about 50,000 Ontarians. | |||
