| Description | Tullamore is a one-story brick home that has 159 beds (60 basic, 94 semi-private and 3 private). In addition to occupational therapy, Tullamore programs include Alzheimer and respite care, physiotherapy and palliative care. Long-term care residences, also known as nursing homes and homes for the aged, are operated by private companies, local governments and not-for-profit organizations, and are regulated by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. Accommodation rates, which are set by the provincial government on an annual basis, include: 24-hr nursing and personal care Medical care and medical supplies Personal hygiene supplies and equipment All meals and snacks Social, recreational and physical activities programs Laundry services and daily housekeeping including residents' personal clothing and labeling Separate charges apply for special medications, private telephone line, nurse escort services, cable TV and other items that are fully explained prior to completion of the admission contract | |||
