| Description | Brampton Meadows is a 160-bed (110 private and 50 standard beds), 3-storey facility with five Resident Home Areas (Home Units), one of which has been dedicated for residents with cognitive impairments or dementia. Home Units house 32 residents Residents' rooms have ensuite bathroom Wheelchair accessible All units have keypad entry capability Residents are welcome to bring in own pieces of furniture as well to personalize space Non-smoking facility Personal services offered include: Hairdressing/barber on site Foot care Dentistry Eye care Physiotherapy Restorative care Lab and diagnostic work provided in-house by contracted services Offers a pet therapy program; if you have pets (birds, dogs, cats) and wish to donate your time for pet therapy, contact the Program Manager. Long-term care residences, also known as nursing homes and homes for the aged, are operated by private companies, local governments and not-for-profit organizations, and are regulated by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. Accommodation rates, which are set by the provincial government on an annual basis, include: 24-hr nursing and personal care Medical care and medical supplies Personal hygiene supplies and equipment All meals and snacks Social, recreational and physical activities programs Laundry services and daily housekeeping including residents' personal clothing and labeling Separate charges apply for special medications, private telephone line, nurse escort services, cable TV and other items that are fully explained prior to completion of the admission contract Operated by Leisureworld Caregiving Centre. | |||
