| Description | Serving the residents of Brampton, Caledon, Dufferin County, Mississauga-Malton, Orangeville, Etobicoke-Rexdale, and Vaughan-Woodbridge, the Central West LHIN is one of 14 local health integration networks (LHINs) established by the Government of Ontario to oversee the funding, planning and integration of health care services based on local needs. The LHIN consults the local population – meaning the general public, patients, health care professionals and health services – via community engagement initiatives. Based on the feedback received, the LHIN works with hospitals, community-based services, long-term care centres, family physicians, family health teams, and community health centres, to seek new and better ways to deliver services that are responsive to the health care needs of people in Central West Ontario. | |||
