| Description | The House is a residential treatment centre for men dealing with addictive behaviours. The long term goal is to enable the men and their families to develop loving interactions and responsible behaviour within families, relationships, and communities, leading to spiritual growth beyond the need or desire to abuse substances. The House provides a spiritual program experienced within a therapeutic community. The 28-90 day residential program addresses issues related to addictions by encouraging and empowering the men to heal into wholeness. It also establishes a new model of living, which moves them from personal isolation to healthy relationships and purposeful roles in the community. The discharge plan encourages the clients to attend a weekly aftercare meeting and a 12-step group weekly in the facility (AA). | |||
