| Description | Supports and represents treatment organizations that serve children (up to 18yrs) and their families throughout Ontario. Goals are: To promote service excellence through standards and accreditation, information sharing and education Advocate for policies, programs and funds to improve the state of children's mental health To support the work of parents and board members in children's mental health. Children's mental health centres and related services: Assess emotional and behaviour problems Develop treatment and support programs in collaboration with clients Work with families or caregivers to enable troubled children to stay in school and at home (in some cases, treatment is provided in a residential setting). | |||
| Services offered include: | Represents centres that serve children and their families throughout Ontario. Goals are to promote service excellence through standards and accreditation, information sharing and education, advocate for policies, programs and funds to improve the state of children's mental health, and to support the work of parents and board members in children's mental health. The mental health centres serve functions such as managing and reducing the risk for troubled children, keeping children in school and at home, helping teenagers find jobs, and providing consultation, prevention and treatment services. | |||
