Description/Eligibility/Service Details
DescriptionServices provided include: 
*Assessment of academic, intellectual, social, and emotional development 
*Consultation with teachers, parents, and families about learning, social and behavioral problems. 
*Diagnosing of various intellectual, perceptual, learning, behavioral, developmental, emotional, or personality disorders. 
*Counselling individual students or groups of students with personal or family issues (such as family separation, loss of a family member, or behavioral problems) 
*Assessment as to whether a child or adolescent qualifies for special education programs. 
*Training in study skills. 
*Helping students to develop social skills or academic motivation. 
*Providing peer support groups for gifted students. 
*Offering in-service programs for educators, other board personnel, and parents. 
*Providing referrals to community resources and liaising as necessary.
